There are many types of nibs, penholders, ink and papers you could use. However, these are the materials we recommend you start with. You will also find these items in the 'Equipment and Materials' section of most calligraphy books.

Only the nibs you use are different if you are left or right handed. The left-handed nibs are cut left-oblique which helps maintain the correct pen-angle when you are writing.
