Good, solid colours achievable as well as delicate washes. Smooth and deeply pigmented, these were a top bargain from the generous sale offerings. The pan size surprised me- these are easily an inch square, great for loading a brush for calligraphy.
The only thing lacking here, for a novice watercolourist, is a place to puddle or mix paints- the paint box is card and offers no waterproof surfaces. I resorted to removing the pans I wanted to use, onto a tea tray which I used as a surface for wetting/puddling/mixing paint.

Excellent colours and texture.

I love the colours and the density of the water colours. I have ordered two sets and they are reasonably priced. The only thing I would like to have on the packet is to state that it is a non toxic product.

Excellent texture and vibrant colours. Only problem is that the precautions, colours and numbers are in Japanese and translation needs special Apps. Only painted so fa. no pen work yet. (unable to get this page to accept a picture.)

I actually bought 3 sets, a set for me and I got a set each for two of my artist friends, we have had them for about 2 weeks now and they get used daily , they are a lovely paint to use, rich in pigment. These paints come in a lovely box and the pan sizes are big. The colours are gorgeous and they are a delight to use. I would recommend them 100 percent.

One set give to a young granddaughter; the other set used so far for washes - seems fine. The texture was smooth. They were a bargain at the price paid. I made a chart of the colours as so many look similar and pasted it in the lid.

Gorgeous colour saturation and a pleasure to paint with. Looking forward to more use with them.

Hi, The watercolours arrived on time, but as they are for my American granddaughter who is over for a trip, I've not seen them open yet, although a classmate has said they were excellent and the offer was great. My granddaughter is 14 and very keen on Art.

A delight to open this beautifully packaged box of paints. They are bright and deep jewel like colours that will work well with calligraphy.

Great vibrant colours, highly pigmented with a little going a long way to create either soft watery colours or opaque intense brilliance.

I have been wanting to try Japanese paints for a while and these were such a good price I ordered the box of 24 pans. If you are a watercolour purist they are maybe not for you being quite opaque. They are a cross between watercolour and gouache but do become more transparent when watered down. I am enjoying experimenting with them the pigments are quite strong and I shall continue to use them for subjects that don’t require blending or wet in wet technique.

They look fantastic and the box is much bigger than I expected. They look too good for me to disturb them yet, but I will start to use them this week.

Good range of colours; paint texture is good; easy to use and very good value at sale price.

Didn’t get them because there was a customs charge to me. This tripled the cost which included a shipping cost greater than the product. So if you want to sell your stuff to Ireland you better get your cost act together. By the way I have not received any refund.
