Calligraphy Nibs and Dip Pens

Nibs & Dip Pens

A dip pen is any pen you dip rather than fill. Usually that means a nib and a holder, with the nib doing the work - swap it and the pen writes quite differently, which is why most calligraphers end up with a tin of them. Some, like automatic pens, have their nib fixed in place and are not interchangeable.

This is our full nib range, covering broad-edge nibs for the traditional hands and pointed nibs for copperplate and modern calligraphy, along with reservoirs, storage tins and nib selection packs. If you are wondering how a dip pen differs from the pen in your drawer, our guide to dip pens and fountain pens explains it. You can also filter by handedness, flexibility and type.
