Brian Walker (1938-2018) was an experienced penman of many years standing.

Originally he made Walker's Copperplate Ink for own his personal use in Spencerian Script and Ornamental Penmanship, but many other penmen have now found it equally pleasing to use.

Walker's Copperplate Ink is a highly researched iron gall ink made to conservation standards.

Initially made from a nineteenth century recipe, it is blended still further to achieve a smooth and satisfying ink for the master penman.

Only small quantities are made at a time to ensure the care of the product.

Lovely quality and a beautiful colour that darkens. The consistency is very good and i was delighted how fine I could get the lines when doing copperplate. I would recommend this ink without hesitation.

Good quality ink…But. How long does the ink last? I purchased a bottle maybe last year. I found when opening lately that the bottom section of the ink had turned to sludge. Any ideas why?

I have not used this ink much because the shipping and handling hikes the price up more than I would want to pay. Otherwise, I would probably use this ink all the time. I purchased two bottles and I am glad I did. Great stuff!!!

I've been using walker's copperplate ink for a couple of years now. Probably one of the best inks I've used for copperplate.
Works really well with the gillott 303 nib, giving nice hairline strokes.
