Gouache Paints

Gouache is an opaque, water-based paint sold in tubes. Mixed to the right consistency it works straight from a dip pen.

Its real advantage over coloured ink is that you are not limited to the colours someone else decided to bottle. Mix your own and you can match any shade you like. The range covers Schmincke calligraphy gouache, Winsor and Newton Designers Gouache, and Talens metallics.
