Finetec Coliro - Fine Gold (C220)

Fine Gold is a light, pale gold shimmer colour, brightest on dark paper.

Shimmer colours are subtle on white paper and show up brightest on dark paper. They are also good for adding highlights to a painting.

Lightfastness is rated 7 out of 8 on Coliro's scale (1 very poor, 8 excellent), so it holds its colour well.

Coliro order code C220, formerly Finetec M1200-20.

Finetec, now made as Coliro Pearlcolors, are handmade pearlescent watercolours. The mica pigment is bound with gum arabic, so you add water and work straight from a dip pen or brush, which is why calligraphers reach for them where a metallic ink would be too thin. Each refill pan is 30mm across and fits the standard Finetec and Coliro palettes.
