Ecoline Liquid Watercolour Ink - White (100)

White (100) is one of the Ecoline liquid watercolours from Royal Talens, a dye-based ink made with gum arabic.

Use it straight from the bottle with a brush or dip pen, or thin it with water for softer tints. It dries quickly and isn't waterproof when dry, so a little water will rewet it if you want to work back into it. The colours mix together. It is opaque, unlike most of the range. Royal Talens suggest adding a touch to other colours to change their shade.

The 30ml glass bottle has a pipette fitted in the lid, which is useful for cleanly loading the back of a broad-edge nib or a reservoir.

Like most dye-based inks, Ecoline isn't lightfast. Royal Talens advise keeping original artwork in a portfolio, away from strong light.
