Finetec Coliro - Fine Lilac (C250)

Fine Lilac is a pale pink shimmer colour that appears bright lilac on dark paper.

Shimmer colours are subtle on white paper and show up brightest on dark paper. They are also good for adding highlights to a painting.

Lightfastness is rated 5 to 6 out of 8 on Coliro's scale (1 very poor, 8 excellent).

Finetec, now made as Coliro Pearlcolors, are handmade pearlescent watercolours. The mica pigment is bound with gum arabic, so you add water and work straight from a dip pen or brush, which is why calligraphers reach for them where a metallic ink would be too thin. Each refill pan is 30mm across and fits the standard Finetec and Coliro palettes.
