Finetec Coliro - Sapphire (C071)

Sapphire is a deep, intense dark blue.

Sapphire is one of the Coliro gemstone colours.

Lightfastness is rated 6 out of 8 on Coliro's scale (1 very poor, 8 excellent).

Finetec, now made as Coliro Pearlcolors, are handmade pearlescent watercolours. The mica pigment is bound with gum arabic, so you add water and work straight from a dip pen or brush, which is why calligraphers reach for them where a metallic ink would be too thin. Each refill pan is 30mm across and fits the standard Finetec and Coliro palettes.
