Each Herbin Straight Glass Dip Pen is hand-crafted from coloured glass with beautiful individual variation.

The finely etched grooves on the nib helps it to hold more ink, allowing you to write more before needing to re-dip.

Glass may not be the obvious material for a writing instrument, but these pens offer a surprisingly smooth and enjoyable writing experience.

They work best with fountain pen inks.  If you are using a thicker ink, you may need to dilute it to help the ink flow.

Pen size is approximately 16cm and comes in a presentation box and small piece of fine sand paper for sharpening the nib.

It is very elegant and holds ink nicely in the grooves. I am still trying to get used to it, but find the end of the nib has a slight ‘burr’ which is a disappointment and hopefully can be sanded down. Would I recommend this pen? If you are experienced with different nibs then yes but certainly not for a beginner.
