The Speedball B6 has a round tip that produces a stroke of even thickness. Because the tip is round rather than edged, the line stays the same width whichever direction you move the pen across the paper, which is what makes it so well suited to monoline lettering.

The B6 is the smallest and finest nib in the B range. It has a fixed reservoir on top and suits both left and right-handed calligraphers. It fits a standard straight holder, including the Speedball Pen Holder.

This was a revelation! I have only used simple nibs before, mainly intended for sketching rather than calligraphy. This Speedball B6 is SO smooth it can be manipulated more like an expensive fountain pen nib . It allows for variation of line, once loaded with ink it can be used to write a paragraph of sentences - easily. A wonderful recommendation that I would encourage others to try.

With its own fixed reservoir this is a great nib for beginners or those that don't want the hassle of fitting a removable reservoir. Just pick up the pen and go
