Four vintage nibs drawn from French makers, chosen for their lighter touch and more responsive feel.

Blanzy Poure established their factory at Boulogne-sur-Mer in 1846, producing nibs to rival the Birmingham trade that had dominated Europe. These four come from that tradition. The Henry's Superieure is a steady, workhorse nib capable of fine hairlines and delicate contrast. The Plume Monopole offers a more controlled feel. And then there are the names: "Do Mi Sol Do" - the notes of a major chord - and "Matapan," after the cape at the southernmost tip of mainland Greece.

French manufacturers of the period gave their nibs names with a certain reach to them. These are no exception.

Included in this set:

  • Gilbert & Blanzy Poure - Henry's Superieure 605
  • Blanzy Poure & CIE - "Do Mi Sol Do" 340F
  • Blanzy Poure & CIE - Plume Monopole 736
  • Blanzy Poure & CIE - "Matapan" 1009
