The Classic Gillott Trio

The 404, the 303, and the 170 are the nibs that defined Gillott's pointed pen range.

 Between them they cover the full spectrum of copperplate writing - from the fine, expressive line of the 303 Victoria Pen to the reliable flex of the 404 and the steady responsiveness of the 170.

Modern versions of all three remain in production. These are not those nibs.

Vintage Gillott nibs were produced at the Victoria Works in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, at a time when hand-finishing and quality control were applied at a level that modern manufacture cannot replicate.  The difference is felt immediately under the hand.

Each nib has been individually checked. These are working nibs, selected from the archive for their condition and performance on the page.
